PlainClimate is run by Kiznis Studio. Using the site means accepting these terms; they do not limit any right the law where you live gives you.

What the site is
A reference to NOAA's climate normals and station records for U.S. places. The figures are reported as their sources publish them (NOAA, NASA, the USDA map's ZIP listings and the Census Bureau), with the source and station named so they can be checked. They are not forecasts, warnings or advice, and PlainClimate is not affiliated with NOAA, the National Weather Service, NASA, the USDA, Oregon State University or the Census Bureau.
Reusing the data
The source data from NOAA, NASA and the Census Bureau are U.S. government works, free of copyright in the United States, and PlainClimate dedicates its own tables and downloads (CSV and JSON on place pages and at /data) to the public domain under CC0 1.0: reuse them with credit to the original source; credit to PlainClimate is welcome. The USDA 2023 hardiness zone listings are the exception: they belong to Oregon State University (PRISM Group, https://prism.oregonstate.edu) and are used under its terms; they are quoted on pages, not included in downloads, and are not U.S. government works. Polite automated access is allowed; do not bypass security or overload the site.
Advertising
Where ads appear, they are served by Google AdSense. PlainClimate does not endorse the advertisers.
Liability
The site is provided as is, to the fullest extent the law allows. Errors happen: report them to hello@plainclimate.com and they are corrected at the source and listed on the corrections page.

These terms may change; the date above shows the latest version.
